About these terms

These terms apply when you use terere.ai or download and use Terere Harness (together, “Terere”). Terere is run by an individual based in England (“we”, “us”). By using Terere you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Contact: contact@terere.ai.

Using Terere Harness

Terere Harness is free. You may install it and use it for personal and commercial work. It is built on the open-source DeepSeek Harness, which is released under the MIT licence, and includes other open-source components; their licence terms apply to those parts and are listed in the notices that ship with the app.

Terere is not affiliated with or endorsed by DeepSeek. “DeepSeek Harness” is DeepSeek’s trademark. “Terere” and the Terere logo are ours; please don’t use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

Your AI provider

Terere Harness connects to the AI endpoint you choose. Your use of that endpoint is between you and its provider: their terms, prices and usage limits apply, and you are responsible for any charges on your account. Keep your API keys safe and don’t share them.

What the agent does on your computer

Terere Harness can read and edit files, and run commands, on your computer. AI models make mistakes: their output can be wrong, incomplete or insecure, and a command can change or delete data. You are responsible for reviewing what the agent proposes and does, for the work you use it on, and for keeping backups. Use version control, and don’t point it at anything you can’t afford to lose.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Terere to break the law or anyone else’s rights, and don’t attack, overload, or try to break into terere.ai or its downloads.

No warranty

Terere is provided free of charge and “as is”, without any promise that it will be available, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows. If you use Terere as a consumer, you keep the rights the law gives you that can’t be excluded.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law doesn’t allow us to limit. Apart from that, we are not liable for loss of data, profits, business or opportunity, or for any indirect loss, arising from your use of Terere; and our total liability to you is limited to £100.

Enterprise

The Enterprise plan is not available yet. When it is, it will come with its own terms, which will apply alongside these.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use Terere after a change means you accept it. We may change or stop offering the website or the app. You can stop using Terere at any time by uninstalling the app.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
