Install Terere Harness

From download to your first session in a few minutes.

What you need

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
  • About 1 GB of free disk space.
  • An AI model to connect: a hosted API with a key, or a model running on your computer (for example with Ollama or LM Studio). See Connect a model.

You don’t need a Terere account.

Install

  1. Download the installer from the download page.
  2. Open the downloaded file. If Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, select More info, check the publisher, then select Run anyway.
  3. Choose where to install it. The installer suggests a folder in your user profile, so you don’t need administrator rights.
  4. When it finishes, open Terere Harness from the Start menu.

First launch

The first window asks you to connect a model. Select Connect a model, enter your endpoint’s details and select Save and continue. Connect a model lists the values for common providers.

Select Set up later to skip this step. You can add a model at any time in Settings, then Models.

Updates

Terere Harness checks for new versions on its own and offers them inside the app. You can also check by hand with Check for Updates in the app menu. Updates download from downloads.terere.ai.

Where your data lives

Everything stays on your computer:

  • Settings, sessions and saved API keys: %USERPROFILE%\.dsh
  • App data, such as logs and window state: %APPDATA%\Terere Harness

Your prompts and code go from the app straight to the endpoint you connect. They never pass through Terere.

Uninstall

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps.
  2. Find Terere Harness, open its menu and select Uninstall.
  3. To remove your settings, sessions and saved keys as well, delete the %USERPROFILE%\.dsh folder.
